The MAG Foundation is a non-profit organization that donates art supplies to K-12 educators and their students.
No, MAG does not charge educators any fees to apply or be a part of the foundation.
If you are an art educator at a verified school in need of art supplies for K-12 students, please visit the link at the top of the page "Apply for Supplies" or directly follow this link: https://www.mag.foundation/apply-for-supplies to begin the application process.
Absolutely, as long as they fit the criteria. You can refer another educator directly within your account by clicking the button "Invite an Educator."
Teachers and qualified educators apply to MAG and we vet their credentials. Once their credentials are vetted then we allow them to submit an Amazon.com wishlist to the foundation for supplies that they need.
Before beginning your application, please have the following information available:
- Your full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Names and contact info for two professional references
- A photo of yourself
- A photo of your classroom
- A minimum of three student projects (as described in the application)
Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis. The review process typically takes 2-4 weeks, after which you will receive a notification about the status of your application.
Wishlists are reviewed quarterly by our art committee. You will receive an email within 2 weeks of the review letting you know which items have been approved. Fulfillment may take an additional 1-2 weeks as we place orders.
We do not have a maximum amount for the wish list and will consider anything interesting and productive. However, you are most likely going to increase your chances of your wishlist being approved by keeping the total of your wishlist to the recommended amount of under $150.
Occasionally, we will temporarily raise the recommended amount and all approved educators will get an email on this occasion. Your wish list items should be related to the art supplies needed for your classroom projects.
After you submit your wishlist, we get to work ordering your supplies. We fulfill all items through Amazon. As Amazon is a marketplace using multiple vendors, it is possible that some items may arrive sooner than others, often resulting in multiple shipments for your order.
You can always log in to your account or reset your password at this URL: https://app.mag.foundation/login
This is a requirement for your application to help MAG verify that you are teaching at an eligible school. If you cannot find the email or the link has expired, you can log into your account and click the “resend email confirmation” to have a new confirmation email sent to you.
Some additional tips on verification emails:
If you are having trouble receiving a verification email, check your spam folder. It is most likely being blocked by a spam filter or routed into a spam folder. Once you find it, you can mark emails from MAG Foundation as "safe" and you should not have this issue again.
If your application is still in progress/pending, you can login and edit any section prior to submission. Once submitted, changes to previous uploads will need to be requested by emailing support@mag.foundation or sending us a message through the contact page.
Adding to your profile however, such as adding new images, sharing new projects and updating your profile with new art creations from your students and in the classroom, especially using your new art supplies; these types of content uploads are always encouraged!
No. You’ll need to obtain signed permission slips from your students’ parents or guardians before posting any photographs of students to your account. These slips are for your records, so you won’t need to send them to MAG Foundation.
If you are receiving an error that your file size is too large, you may want to try using one of the many free image compressor tools available online. If you are still struggling after that, please reach out to support@mag.foundation and we will work with you to find a solution.
